Salisbury's Weekend What's On 20/21 November

Christmas has arrived in Salisbury!

The Christmas lights are now on across the city centre, and there are many ways to experience the festive fun this weekend.

Santa, Nutcrackers, Christmas Trees and festive fairs.... we have them all!

Here’s the pick of what’s on this weekend (20th and 21st November) in our Traditional Original city:

Santa’s Little Wonderland!

It’s what the children have all been waiting for.... Santa! Make sure you drop in to see the jolly man himself this weekend. Santa's Little Wonderland is now open on various days up until Christmas Eve, giving children the perfect opportunity to feel truly festive. And, tell Santa what they want for Christmas! Spaces need to be booked in advance, and with tickets selling fast our advice is to book quick! Book here.

Salisbury's Christmas Tree Trail

Take a walk through Salisbury city centre and you may notice some beautifully decorated Christmas trees this weekend. They are all part of Salisbury City Council’s magical Christmas Tree Trail!  There are 12 trees to find, all with different themes. Each makes the perfect family picture opportunity! The trail winds its way through our modern medieval city, starting at Salisbury Cathedral and finishing at the Market Place. Download a map here to help you find them all.

While you are trying to track down the trees, don't forget to also look up! The Christmas lights are now across the city centre. Doesn't it feel festive!

Nutcracker Kings Hide and Seek

Salisbury BID has brought back their impressive Nutcracker Kings, and if you find one, you could win a £50 Salisbury Gift Card! The giant statues – standing 6ft 5” tall - have been hidden in businesses across the city centre. Make sure to keep an eye out for them whilst doing your shopping this weekend. If you find one, take a selfie with it, and post onto social media, you go into a draw to win a Gift Card. Find all the details, and terms and conditions, here.

Christmas in the Square

It will be feeling very festive in the Guildhall Square this weekend, and every day up until the New Year! Christmas in the Square has opened, and it’s the perfect destination to meet friends and family for some seasonal celebrations. Make sure to drop into Frost, a beautifully decorated festive bar, or try some food at one of the many huts.

Friends of Salisbury Cathedral Christmas Fair

If you are planning of doing some Christmas shopping this weekend, head to Salisbury Cathedral for a Christmas Fair set in the beautiful surroundings of the Cathedral Cloisters. There will be over 40 high-quality stalls selling unique gifts for all the family, including a good selection of artisan food and drink. It is on 10am to 3pm Saturday 20th November. Entry costs £2 for adults, free for children. The Fair is run by, and for, the Friends of Salisbury Cathedral School with a donation to local charity Children's Chance.
