Festive performers needed for start of Salisbury's Christmas

The festive season is just around the corner and Salisbury City Council is seeking performers to help launch the start of Christmas in the City this year.

The event will be held on Friday 19 November and they are looking for musicians, dancers, street performers, carol singers and other festive forms of entertainment from 4pm – 8pm. The City Council is particularly encouraging local groups of all ages and abilities to apply to showcase their talents to the public and enhance the Christmas atmosphere in Salisbury Market Place.

The Mayor of Salisbury, Cllr Caroline Corbin said: “We are looking forward to hosting more Christmas fun this year. As part of this, we need the help of talented performers and entertainers to spread festive joy and cheer to the public in the Market Place as we celebrate the start of Christmas.”

Salisbury City Council’s Events Team are currently planning exciting Christmas offerings for families and people of all ages to enjoy across the city. Keep an eye on the City Council social media pages for details which will be released soon.
