Oriente Plus/Power Cut
Pioneers of Signdance theatre, Signdance Collective (SDC), bring their new production to Salisbury Festival. Oriente Plus/Power Cut by Pedro De Senna, is a Caribbean story about the things that keep us together, even when the world tears us apart.
A story about poetry, music and culture, a story of power cuts and generators, of crossroads and ocean crossings, of haunted bodies and dancing souls.
Signdance Collective are a culturally diverse, D/deaf and disabled led company who originated Signdance Theatre as an art form 35 years ago. A typical Signdance work combines dance, sign, music, spoken word and film in new and creative ways.
Written by Pedro De Senna, with additional writing by Tarik Ross Cameron and Peter Osita. Original music by Angelina Schwammerlin and David Omni.
