On Saturday 18 June we are delighted welcome Katherine Dienes to Salisbury Cathedral to give a concert on our Father Willis organ. Katherine is in high demand as a choral director, recitalist and composer, and has held the post of Organist and Master of the Choristers at Guildford Cathedral since 2008.
Our 2022 Organ Festival celebrates the return of our Father Willis organ after extensive maintenance and restoration work throughout 2019. During this time, our organ was removed and serviced in Durham by renowned organ specialists, Harrison and Harrison, before returning to use in February 2020. This restoration project cost in excess of £750,000 and will allow the iconic Father Willis organ to continue to play flawlessly for years to come.
