Simon Butteriss reads Oscar Wilde’s De Profundis in its entirety in daily episodes of around 20 minutes.

While in prison, Wilde wrote his astonishing, book-length love letter to the young man who had destroyed his life. Allowed one piece of paper at a time and no revisions, he nevertheless produced an unfaltering, forensic analysis of their uniquely destructive relationship; part confession, part accusation.

Listen in to discover how Wilde survived his long isolation through an unwavering belief in love and the resilience of art.
