Churchill Gardens

Just south of the city Churchill Gardens is framed by the River Avon with routes snaking through the park ideal for walking, running and cycling. The Gardens make a perfect location for a family outing as they benefit from a large skatepark, as well as a street sports area (for basketball, football, rollerblading & street hockey) and outside gym equipment.

The park also has two dedicated children’s play areas - one for younger children, and the other for the more adventurous. The pirate ship in the younger area has been updated in January 2021. The play area for older children comprises a zip wire, climbing frames and slides.

Along with the formal play grounds, the grassed areas in the park are suitable for impromptu sports or just taking in the scenery.

The very popular Salisbury Parkrun takes place at Churchill Gardens every Saturday morning at 9am. The Salisbury Junior Parkrun is also held in the Gardens every Sunday at 9am.
