Salisbury's Poppy Window Dressing Competition Winners Have Been Announced

Have you spotted all of the brilliant poppy-themed windows around the city? The Salisbury Branch of the Royal British Legion organised a window dressing competition to raise the profile of this year's Poppy Appeal. This year is important as 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of both Victory over Japan and the end of the Second World War.

Their independent judge — an internationally renowned, award winning retail artist Nina Tillett, founder of Minki Balinki — was deeply impressed by the care, thought, and attention to detail shown in every entry.

Prizes were presented by the Mayor of Salisbury, Cllr John Wells, during the Poppy Appeal launch event. The winning entries were:

The Salisbury Branch of the Royal British Legion would also like to give a special mention to the residents of the Wessex Care homes, who devoted many hours to designing and decorating their windows. Their displays were so outstanding that a special category was created to recognise their exceptional work.

This year's prizes were very kindly donated by Salisbury Journal, Dark Revolution Brewing, and Bradbeers.
