Founded in 2023 by husband and wife, Darren and Liz, DALIZ is an independent menswear store stocking high-quality, sustainable, Scandi-inspired clothing and accessories.
Darren and Liz set up the business following Darren's difficulties shopping for clothing he liked in the city. As well as allowing them to bring high-quality, fashionable and sustainable clothing to Salisbury, the business also provides an opportunity for Darren and Liz's son, James, who has additional needs, to get involved. 12 year old James is DALIZ's colour and textile specialist and often has his own successful clothing pop-ups alongside his mum and dad.
DALIZ pride themselves on the quality of their clothing, and have had no returns on any of their clothes in the last 12 months. Committed to slow fashion, Darren and Liz offer small quantities of creative designs that stand the test of time. They stock a number of brands including Solid, a sustainable Danish contemporary clothing brand, as well as Salty Dagger, a brand that handcrafts recycled silver jewellery.
Their Salisbury shop is open on Friday afternoons and Saturdays, but private appointments can be made at other times, and their items are always shoppable via their online store. If you need a helping hand choosing outfits or carving out your signature style, DALIZ offers a styling service at their Winchester Street store. They also curate outfits of the week, so be sure to regularly pop in for evolving outfit inspiration.
Alongside their physical store and online store, keep an eye on DALIZ's events calendar. As well as occasionally selling at Salisbury Market, DALIZ often partner with local independent pubs and breweries to arrange pop-up fashion events. Their new season launches are held at neighbour, and fellow indie, The Coach & Horses.
Alongside these shopping events, new for this summer are the 'DALIZ Sessions'. These are holistic events, providing support, music, community and advice for wellbeing and mental health in the local community.
