📍 52a Fisherton Street, Salisbury, SP2 7RB
Situated at the heart of Fisherton Street, ELEVATE Dance Company is an award-winning dance studio specialising in Street, Jazz and Musical Theatre. Jacinta Landon founded ELEVATE back in October 2012, having noticed an opportunity to bring Street Dance Classes to Salisbury. Jacinta, a professional dancer herself who’s performed in both New Zealand and Asia, felt Salisbury was a perfectly-sized city to set up her business. She prides herself on getting to know her students and their families, so she felt Salisbury, with its community feel and thriving cultural arts scene, was a great location for her new venture.
ELEVATE’s jam-packed Class Schedule includes Street Dance Classes for ages 7+ as well as Adult pay as you go Streeet Dance nights, Intermediate - Advanced Jazz Classes for ages 14+, Musical Theatre Classes that include dance, drama and singing elements, dedicated Street Dance Crews for competitions as well as a number of other pop up workshops and training days throughout the year.
Jacinta is supported by seven professional dance teachers, all of whom share her passion for providing fun and supportive sessions with a family-like atmosphere. Several are ELEVATE alumni themselves who are thrilled to be able to teach classes today in the very studio where they were taught.
As a Dance Company, ELEVATE produce two shows per year. One is a large school show, and the other is an auditioned show with 25 people that is put together in only 8 weeks. Their upcoming whole school show, 'Bro's Grimm: A Tale Not Yet Told', is at Godolphin Performing Arts Centre on 30 and 31 May. This is an engaging dance theatre show for all of the family that reimagines the classic tales with a unique and fast-paced twist. The attention to detail with ELEVATE’s shows is second to none, with captivating costumes, exceptional local talent and dances cleverly woven into the story’s narrative rather than just performed one after the other.
Jacinta and her ELEVATE dancers have won a whole host of prestigious awards over the years, most notably coming second in the GDO World Championships in 2023.
But, dancers don’t need to be World Champion level to be a part of the ELEVATE Dance Company community. Jacinta and her teachers want all dancers to feel welcome and at home at the studio. There is a free trial available for their classes, and parents are welcome to sit in and watch the class too, just contact Jacinta and the ELEVATE team directly to arrange.
