An opticians has proudly sat at the heart of Fisherton Street, at number 21, for over 110 years. Firstly, as Springates Opticians in 1912, then Ashbridge Opticians from 1928. In 2005, Mark Jones acquired Ashbridge Opticians and in 2011, rebranded the practice as Mark Jones Eye Care. The practice has a rich heritage and reputation which the team are proud to be continuing into the modern day.
The technology used today has come on leaps and bounds from the businessā beginnings back in 1912. The Mark Jones Eye and Hearing Care team pride themselves on using the most up-to-date technology, including their advanced sight tests and their frame comparison technology. The team are also able to provide treatments for dry eye beyond just drops. They offer personalised treatment plans, for example using heat, to bring lasting relief.
Not a fan of wearing glasses? The team offer a range of contact lenses including Ortho-K. Ortho-K are specially designed lenses that gently reshare the cornea whilst you sleep, meaning you can take them out in the morning and see clearly un-aided all day.
Alongside their optometry services, the team also offer hearing care services too! Using their clinical expertise, the team will create a customised solution enabling you to clearly hear the world around you.
