Home to a stunning range of womenâs shoes and accessories, RaffinĂ©e has been a bustling business on Salisburyâs High Street for over forty years. Trudy Harris opened the shop in August 1983, and its popularity grew and grew. When Trudy was ready to retire in 2024, she began looking for someone to take over and run her established business but, initially, couldnât find anyone suitable.
When Kate (pictured) heard about this, she was dispirited to hear that the business might have to close. Her mum was a loyal customer at RaffinĂ©e and Kate didnât want to see it go, so decided to take it on herself. Kate officially took over the helm in September 2024, continuing the business that many locals (and not so locals) know and love.
RaffinĂ©e sell Italian and Spanish womenâs shoes as well as womenâs fashion, coats, bags and scarves. Their shoes are imported and a number of the factories they work with only sell to RaffinĂ©e in England. Their Italian brands include Pascucci and Lorbac, and their Spanish brands include Hispanitas and Alpe. Did you know RaffinĂ©e also have their own brand of shoe that is made in Venice?
Twice a year, Kate travels to the Milan for their Shoe Show, to hand pick their Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer collections, just like Trudy did in her 40+ years in business. Each new collection has its own little event and champagne welcome, so be sure to keep an eye out for those!
Not just for special occasions, the shop is home to a range of everyday pieces including trainers, espadrilles and sandals, too. In the summer, their shoes start from ÂŁ55, and their winter shoes start from ÂŁ99.
If youâre not local to Salisbury, it is now possible to order online via RaffinĂ©eâs website! So, if youâre in the market for some new shoes or accessories, why not support a local independent woman-founded, woman-run businessâŠ
