Wanting their work to fit around their family life, Abby and Adam Nanson hatched a plan to go into business together. With Adamâs 25 yearsâ experience working in mortgages and Abbyâs background is in marketing, together they created a business being independent brokers. In August 2015 Your Mortgage Expert was born and, fast forward to today, they are a team of six employees.
Being based in Salisbury themselves, and identifying a gap in the local market, it was natural for Abby and Adam to set up their business in the city. Whilst they can (and do) support clients all over the country, their client base is predominantly made up of people from the Salisbury area.
Over the last decade, the team have supported thousands of local people through the mortgage process. In fact, about 90% of their clients return for the remortgages, testament to the brilliant customer service the team provide. They handhold the entire mortgage process for their clients, making it as simple as possible for everyone involved. The Your Mortgage Expert team have strong contacts with local estate agents, conveyancers and solicitors, helping to streamline communication channels and make what can be a very stressful time feel that little bit smoother.
Itâs not just typical residential mortgages that the team can help with, they also have vast experience in providing a wide range of mortgages including buy to let, self-build, commercial, Airbnb and holiday lets. Whether youâre a first-time buyer looking for some support with your purchase or someone that has a more complex financial situation, the team are well versed to help you secure the best product for your needs.
As a family-run business, a personable approach is a key part of their model. Whilst clients can work with the team fully remotely, itâs also possible to visit the team in person, face-to-face, including in the evenings where needed.
Looking into the future, Adam, Abby and the team are looking to expand into wider financial planning to provide their clients with a wider scope of support.
