Butterflies, Birds and Brownies

  • £12 adult, £8 child or by donation - pay what you feel.
  • 27 Aug 25
  • Victoria Park, Salisbury
  • 10:00 - 12:00

Can you tell the difference between a Peacock and a Red Admiral butterfly? Would you like to learn amazing tips for recognising bird calls? Discover the secret wildlife of Salisbury on a guided mini-adventure, within walking and wheeling distance from the city centre. We may spot a Treecreeper on one of the magnificent ancient Beech trees or spot one of the Peregrine Falcons that make their nests at the Cathedral! Even if the weather doesn't suit butterfly spotting on the day, there will be other fascinating plants and animals to spot along the way.

Homemade healthy(ish!) brownies will be provided.

The route will be mostly level.

*Ticket sales end at 12pm on Monday 25th August, when the baking will commence!*

This event is suitable for anyone interested in wildlife and wellbeing who wants to spend time in nature with others, learning new things. We value diversity, and hope to create a community that reflects the breadth of people in our society. Please share any medical, mobility, dietary or other needs on booking, so we can plan activities (and snacks!) that are suitable for all.

What to bring:
Dress for the weather. We will be outside for the duration of the session. Please check the weather forecast and bring waterproofs and warm layers. Bring binoculars if you have them.
Guide dogs are welcome but no other dogs please.
