Step back in time and immerse yourself in a Regency Christmas at Mompesson House. The house is open every Friday to Tuesday from 21 November to 23 December, 11am-3.30pm (last entry at 3pm).
Discover how the Portman family celebrated the festive season with each room revealing a different tradition, from Advent to Twelfth Night. There’ll be lots of seasonal greenery, a magnificent garland on the oak staircase and sparkly Christmas trees with glass baubles and unique paper decorations crafted by Mompesson volunteers.
After exploring the house, enjoy a hot drink and a festive treat in the tea-room and pop into the second-hand bookshop for Christmas gifts for family and friends.
