Alistair brings you the comedy and impressions for which he is known and loved, plays short piano pieces by Debussy, Glass, Amy Beach, Shostakovich, Mompou, Madeleine Dring and others and reads from his two recently-published poetry collections. Expect beautiful music, poignant poems and spot-on mimicry. It’s three great shows in one!

Biography
Alistair McGowan is best known for his impressions and won a BAFTA for his television series ‘The Big Impression’. He has also worked as an actor regularly on radio, occasionally on television and nationwide on stage (being nominated for an Olivier Award for his performance in ‘Little Shop of Horrors’).

In 2015, he threw himself into learning the piano and, in 2017, released ‘The Piano Album’ through Sony Classical reaching number one in the classical charts. In 2023, he set up the first Ludlow Piano Festival.

In June 2024, he released his first collection of poetry (‘Not What We Were Expecting’) through Flapjack Press with a second collection (‘Like Never Before’) due out in March 2026.
