Hospital Open Day!

Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is once again inviting the community to immerse themselves in what life at the hospital is all about. Visitors will discover more about the workings of their local hospital with a variety of demonstrations, activities and displays across a wide range of departments. Last year this included the popular toy hospital, hi-tech lifelike simulation manikins and the ‘fracture clinic’ in which children got plaster casts on their arms. The day promises to offer a fascinating experience for all ages, as it has over the past three years.

Sir John Curtice, Britain’s leading psephologist and one of the country’s most authoritative political scientists, examines whether the long-standing dominance of the Labour and Conservative parties can survive in an era of populism and political fragmentation. He will explore the rise of smaller parties, shifting voter loyalties, and what these changes could mean for the future of the UK’s two-party system.

Salisbury Art Trail 2026

Salisbury Art Trail takes places from 23 May until June 7 and will see more than 80 members of Plain Arts Salisbury exhibiting in 40+ venues in and around Salisbury. Artists look forward to welcoming you to their homes, gardens, studios and galleries for this FREE event. This year’s event will showcase a broad range of artistic disciplines; photography, painting, sculpture, mixed media, jewellery, ceramics, glass, and everything in between!

A Celebration of Stars Appeal Fundraising Treks

Since 2015, over 100 local people have trekked to raise funds for the Stars Appeal, Salisbury Hospital’s charity, together raising over £550,000 to date. Join them in the Old George Mall as they return from the sixth trek, in the Indian Himalayas, to celebrate the achievements of these fundraising treks – Grand Canyon in USA, Machu Picchu in Peru, The Great Wall of China, Petra in Jordan, Colombia's Lost City, and the latest trek 'Dalai Lama Mountain Trek'.
