Salisbury's Best Beer Gardens

Beer gardens are what the summer was made for, and it's the perfect time to take advantage of the delicious food and drink on offer around our timeless city.

Here are some of our favourite outside spaces to meet friends, laugh, relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings this summer...

The George & Dragon

πŸ“ Castle Street

Take a seat in the riverside garden at the George & Dragon. Make sure to sample one of their delicious cocktails. Or two.

The George & Dragon Salisbury

The Wig & Quill

πŸ“ New Street

Serving real ales and good English pub food using locally sourced produce, The Wig & Quill is a traditional establishment and has a pretty courtyard garden that backs onto the historic Cathedral Close.

The Old Ale and Coffee House

πŸ“ Crane Street

The Old Ale and Coffee House is blessed with a large garden; plus the beach huts and a marquee ensure customers can enjoy the garden no matter the weather.

The Anchor & Hope

πŸ“ Winchester Street

The Anchor & Hope is a new style pub with a large garden, colourful benches and covered areas. A perfect place to try their amazing cider, cocktails and nibble plates.

The Coach & Horses

πŸ“ Winchester Street

A vast courtyard garden, with a couple of shady spots for those not looking for full sun. A key part of the pub’s offering is its craft beer, so head to The Coach and Horses if you fancy trying a pint of something new!

The New Inn

πŸ“ New Street

Perhaps one of the most impressive gardens in Salisbury due to its views of Salisbury Cathedral. The New Inn is a perfect pit-stop for those seeking a classic pub menu to enjoy in a beautiful and charming setting.

Bishops Mill

πŸ“ The Maltings

The 18th century Bishops Mill has one of the largest pub gardens in Salisbury, and it offers fantastic views as well as a lot of space for customers. The building sits on the riverside next to Bridge Street in the Maltings shopping area.

Bishop's Mill

The Ox Row Inn and Market Tavern

πŸ“ Market Square

Our next two favourites don’t really have their own beer gardens as such, but their outside space is still very special and worth a mention.

The Ox Row Inn and Market Tavern are both located on Salisbury’s historic Market Place and their outside areas allow customers to sit back, enjoy the centuries old square and soak in the atmosphere.

These favourites are just a teaser of the wonderful establishments we think you should try in Salisbury – there are plenty more and you can find them here.
