Learn to identify birds by their songs and calls and boost your connection to nature.

Why do birds sing?
How do I tell species apart?
Should I use mobile identification apps?

These questions and many more will be answered during our Birdsong for Beginners course! We’ll share our knowledge on the best ways to learn to recognise birds’ songs and calls, including tips for remembering which bird is making which sound. We’ll explore different greenspaces and habitats to learn about the variety of birdlife in Salisbury. You’ll also learn how to identify birds from how they look and their flight behaviour. The course will run over 4 early morning sessions - the time of day when birds are most vocal.
