Experience the inner world of famous local sculptor Dame Elisabeth Frink (1930-1993) in our current main exhibition, 'Elisabeth Frink: A View from Within.' This major touring exhibition showcases a number of sculptures, drawings and prints, and explores her artistic process, personal life in Dorset, and the influences that shaped her work. Drawn from public and private collections, it focuses on her life in north Dorset.
The exhibition showcases the relationship between humans and animals, Frink’s beliefs and how she reflected on human rights abuse and freedom in her work.
Frink's most well-known work in Wiltshire is the enigmatic 'Walking Madonna' situated in Salisbury's Cathedral Close.
The Salisbury Museum has a number of talks and events linked to the exhibition. Please see the website or visit us for further information.
