Step back more than 500 years and experience life in medieval England!
Throughout the weekend, the museum garden will be transformed by living history re-enactment group \'The House of the Twin-Tailed Lion\', who will bring the medieval world to life through authentic displays, demonstrations and interactive activities. Discover how people lived, what they wore, the food they ate, and the crafts and skills that shaped everyday life in the Middle Ages.
Visitors can also witness exciting medieval combat displays and pitched battles taking place throughout the day, offering a fascinating glimpse into the realities of medieval warfare.
For younger visitors and aspiring knights, there will be the opportunity to take part in \'Knight School\' training sessions and learn some of the skills needed to become a knight of the realm.
Perfect for families, history enthusiasts and curious minds of all ages, this event offers a fun and immersive journey into Salisbury\'s medieval past.
Entry to the Medieval Weekend is free and no booking is required. Donations are warmly welcomed and can be made at the museum reception or via the donation point.
