Salisbury Racecourse offers a great day out for all ages, no matter how much you know about horse racing. The course itself is set in beautiful countryside lying between Wilton and Salisbury and is one of the most historic in England, with racing having taken place here since the 16th century.
Race meetings are spread between April and October, with summer evening music themed meetings now particular favourites. The course is very family friendly, with children entertainment provided at the weekend and evening race meetings. Plus, those aged 17 and under always go free.
There is a choice of three enclosures: the Bibury Enclosure, Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure, and Sarum Enclosure. Each has a view of the racecourse from a lawn area or covered steppings in the various stands. Please note there is a dress code for each enclosure.
There are numerous bars, mobile catering units, an ice-cream parlour and new fish and chip area offering food and drink options.
