đ 39 Winchester Street, Salisbury SP1 1HG
The Coach and Horses, as we know and love it today, reopened in October 2023 following extensive renovation works. Prior to this, the pub had stood empty for 9 years and a lot of hard work went into creating the modern, cosy atmosphere you can find there today. Chris and Theresa previously ran the pub from 2001 â 2015, so when the opportunity arose for them to run it again, it was a true full circle moment that they just couldnât pass up.
A key part of the pubâs offering is its craft beer. During the renovation, their signature craft beer wall was installed with its 20 lines of beer! The beers and ciders on tap are changed regularly, but more often than not youâll find beers from local breweries Dark Revolution, Hopback and Stone Daisy. As an independent business themselves, The Coach and Horses like to support other local Salisbury businesses. For those more into their wine, The Coach and Horses has an import licence, with its wine on tap coming directly from 300 small growers in France.
Alongside their extensive range of drinks, The Coach and Horses is also a foodieâs dream too. All of the food is made on site with a range of hearty dishes available including burgers and lasagne. Did you know, the team make 7 types of bread in a day! At the weekend, youâll also find their popular ever-changing street food offering too.
With an ever-evolving events and live music schedule, there is always something in the calendar to look forward to. From Jazz and CrĂŠmant nights to their upcoming Country Hoedown, get some friends together and have a dance at this independent Salisbury pub.
If youâve never been before, grab yourself a flight of beer, sample the local breweries and soak up the atmosphere in this wonderful grade II listed building. Alternatively, if the sun is shining, head out to their wonderful vast beer garden instead!
