Founded by Alastair and Barbara in 2001, Innovate Design is a product design and development company. Initially, the business was founded to âhelp innovatorsâ and today has evolved into something much bigger. Whilst their head office is still in Salisbury, they also have offices in London, Paris and Florida, allowing this local indie business to support inspiring entrepreneurs internationally.
The typical Innovate customer is new to the sector and has a brilliant idea that theyâd like turning into a reality. The team help take initial concepts to commercialisation, offering complete support along the way. A key part of their process is always to keep the amount of risk at a minimum.
Their standard process includes patent and IP searches - to ensure ideas are patentable and not infringing on existing designs, design and prototyping to help visualise and test the products, as well as advice for launching, manufacturing and licensing the products. With comprehensive workshops and departments, the Innovate team have the skills and tools onsite to help turn mere ideas into working products.
Innovate Design also make TV and film props including some that you might have seen in recent episodes of BBCâs The Traitors. Alongside this, the team have also been involved in several episodes of BBCâs The Apprentice, helping candidates rapidly model, prototype and build products for their pitches. These included childrenâs electric toothbrushes in series 16, breakfast cereal in series 18 and smart money boxes in series 19.
If youâve got an idea for a new product, then Innovate Design are likely to be able to help you turn it into a reality. The team offers a free consultation with an expert, allowing you to discuss your options and receive feedback. To get started, head to their website and fill out their forms!
