Our historic city is paying tribute to King Charles III across the whole Bank Holiday weekend, with tonnes of culture, craft and community. From a Live Screening at Salisbury Cathedral to The Big Gig in the Guildhall Square with ‘The Deloreons’, Salisbury has something for everyone to enjoy!
Before the Big Day…
Salisbury Cathedral are kickstarting the fun on 29th April by inviting you to pop along and make some colourful coronation bunting – ready to go on display in The Cloisters over the ceremonial weekend! Be sure to stop by the special ‘Encounters with Kings’ exhibition in the Library while you’re there.
From the 2nd May, our iconic Cathedral will also have a magnificent replica of the Queen’s Coronation Robe on display in the St Lawrence Chapel.
There is something for even the littlest of people at Salisbury Cathedral: bring your toddlers to a craft workshop on 5th May and make a crown fit for royalty – then pose on a throne for a super-sovereign-selfie! This continues into 6th May where older children are also invited to get involved.
