Join us for a special one-day workshop exploring the traditional craft of rush weaving. This is a rare opportunity to learn a technique that I don't often teach, making it an ideal workshop for anyone interested in working with natural materials and heritage crafts.
During the day you will learn how to prepare and weave with soft rush and other natural fibres, discovering the unique qualities of these beautiful, sustainable materials. With step-by-step guidance, you'll create either a round basket or a pair of woven placemats to take home.
Suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some weaving experience, this workshop offers a relaxed and creative day in the inspiring surroundings of the Wardrobe Rifles Museum in Cathedral Close, Salisbury.
