Salisbury Art Trail takes places from 23 May until June 7 and will see more than 80 members of Plain Arts Salisbury exhibiting in 40+ venues in and around Salisbury. Artists look forward to welcoming you to their homes, gardens, studios and galleries for this FREE event.
This year’s event will showcase a broad range of artistic disciplines; photography, painting, sculpture, mixed media, jewellery, ceramics, glass, and everything in between! The trail aims to be fun and inclusive, representing artists from all backgrounds and at every stage of their creative journeys. Many artists will also be giving live demonstrations and drop-in workshops will be open to the public.
The Community Gallery in Salisbury Library will be Venue 1 and host the Trailblazer Exhibition. This will be packed with examples of beautiful and original artwork from each of the participating artists. Visitors can then choose which artists they would like to visit and plan their route. Previous Art Trails have left a lasting impression on visitors who have commented: "I can't believe that there are so many talented artists in Salisbury” and "I've spoken to so many interesting creatives about their work and inspiration.”
With arts engagement proven to give our brains what we need to be happy and with increasing scientific evidence identifying the health benefits of creativity, let this be the year to embrace the arts.
The physical catalogue, including a large pull-out map and loyalty card, will be available FREE at various outlets throughout the city from the beginning of May, including Tourist Information, Salisbury Library, Five Rivers Leisure Centre as well as local shops and businesses.
