Join the friendly volunteers from Salisbury & South Wiltshire St John Ambulance, as we take part in the national Restart a Heart initiative.
Did you know that only 1 in 10 people survive an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest? That\'s a shocking statistic, but that 1 in 10 is only alive because somebody was there who knew CPR. Could you give someone that chance?
Come along and join us as we teach you how to do CPR on adults, children and infants, as well as how to use an Automatic External Defibrillator and how to find your nearest AED, so if the worst happens, you know what to do.
We will also have demonstrations on how to help someone who is choking, as well as answering all of your burning first aid questions.
As well as teaching first aid, we will be raising money to support our projects in YOUR local community, including games for kids (and big kids) as well as some snazzy SJA merchandise.
No need to book, and free to attend, come along and say hi to us on our stand in the Guildhall Square from 11am-3pm... oh, and it\'s Halloween, so there could be a few spooky surprises!...
