Studio Theatre invites you to Step Behind the Curtain for our Open Weekend.
Free event, open to all. No need to book, just come along!
Discover what happens behind the scenes of a theatre, meet the team, try creative activities, and learn how to get involved.
Join members on Friday 18th September from 7.15pm for a relaxed social evening. The bar will be open to meet new friends and enjoy the atmosphere. At 8pm, there will be a performance of The Bluestocking and The Shepherdess – The Bloomsbury Group in Wiltshire. Visitors are welcome to watch the show or simply explore and socialise.
On Saturday 19th September, from 10am to 4pm, the theatre will open its backstage spaces for a full day of discovery and hands-on activities, including theatre tours, mini workshops and more, with opportunities to meet members of different departments, including set construction, lighting and sound, props, stage management, wardrobe, and front of house. Demonstrations, displays and hands-on activities will help reveal the many skills involved in creating a production. There will also be plenty for younger visitors and families, including creative make-and-do activities.
