Two exhibitions, two locations! An exciting collaboration with the City of Touques, Salisbury 800 and Fisherton Mill resulting in an exhibition of twenty winning artworks featured at Fisherton Mill from Friday 30th April to Saturday 15th May 2027.
The exhibition celebrates the millennium of the birth of William the Conqueror with themes based around the oath of Harold Godwinson made in Touques in 1064, leading to the Norman Conquest of 1066, immortalised by the Bayeux Tapestry, and the oath of Salisbury made by William the Conqueror in 1086.
Two shores, two oaths, a conquest, ships, a tapestry, landscapes: many sources of inspiration for this artistic competition and exhibition.
